How we run our services
01
PROPOSAL
Direct contact with our interested customers allows us to prepare a formal proposal sent by our Foundation for consideration and adjustments to the contents and terms agreed upon.
02
EXECUTION
We carry out our consultancy work in our own facility or in a suitable and necessary location when applicable. We operate throughout Brazil for the development of consulting and engineering services of high level.
03
DELIVERY
We love to deliver solutions. Whether they are provided through technical reports or design test prototyping.

Our COPPETEC Foundation
The COPPETEC foundation has the general objective of providing quality services to the COPPE community and other UFRJ units in the development of research, teaching, extension and innovation projects, together with public and private, national and foreign entities, with a view to scientific development. and technology in the country.
Projects, Clients Area of Operation
01.
Technical Consultancy and for Legal Actions
We provide technical opinion and report for engineering events and claims with our analysis of facts and the support of calculations and experiments when necessary.
02.
Steam Generator Development Group (G5)
In a project contracted by Petrobras / ANP, we developed a prototype of a steam generator with low weight and reduced dimensions. We tested in some centers with always positive results. We even produced superheated steam at 270 degrees and 150 bar pressure. Open project for funding for product development. Interested in receiving a project portfolio and test videos can contact via email or WhatsApp.
03.
Plasma Torch Development Group (G6)
We are currently working on this Petrobras/ANP project. Building a prototype for concept testing. Development of a Plasma Torch prototype for oil well decommissioning operation. The purpose of the prototype is to demonstrate the feasibility of using the technology to cut steel pipelines that make up the formation of oil wells. Exclusive Project for Petrobras / ANP Client.
04.
Research Group for Floating Systems Stability Assessment (G1 and G2)
We survey and assess the Stability of Vessels. We use renowned software and expertise from several years of experience in this area. We developed this Research Project with 2 groups: One (G1) studies the application of the HECSALV software (in partnership) to evaluate the conditions of Buoyancy and Stability of Floating Systems of the type Ships and Monohull Vessels. A second (G2) group evaluates the application of HECSAL 9 for Floating Systems of the multihull type and offshore platforms. This project involves students from the compulsory discipline Naval Architecture II.
05.
Research Group Optimization of Systems and Processes (G3)
We develop models for the optimization of various engineering problems focusing on the following areas: Naval, Oil and Offshore Energy and Maintenance. We apply solutions to problems with one or multiple criteria for decision and treat elements with uncertainty in the models to be optimized. We use proprietary software and the MODE FRONTIER System applied by several research and development companies around the world.
06.
Group Applications of Quantitative Risk Analysis to Ocean Engineering Projects (G4)
This research group applies quantitative risk analysis techniques to offshore engineering problems. Floating Systems in general with environmental actions of winds, waves and currents. This project involves undergraduate students of the Optional Discipline Offshore Systems Optimization.

LabECO office
Through the COPPETEC Support Foundation of UFRJ, we act as consultants and technology developers in various projects demanded by society and industry. Our focus is on the areas of Naval Engineering, Oil and Renewable Energies.
